“I have always been afraid of the unknown. It has been over two months since I arrived in Spain but the experience is still fresh in my mind. Up until the moment I touched down in Madrid, there had been a feeling of nervousness resting in the pit of my stomach. I had never been out of The States, or away from my family, and I was going to a country with a completely different language and culture than I was accustomed to. But once I saw the beauty of the city, with its grand buildings and classic architecture, I knew that Madrid was where I should be.

I live with a family and we have dinner together every night and I get a chance to see the world through their eyes. Talking to them has also helped me improve my Spanish. Spain is entrenched in a rich history; I have visited places like The Royal Palace in Madrid, La Alhambra in Granada, and The Cathedral in Cordoba, all of which are famous and gorgeous.

I think that anyone who is ready to experience something different and exiting should study abroad. Now, living in Spain is not enough; I want to see more, do more, and know more. This is just the beginning of my journey, and it can be the beginning of yours as well.”
