New York University Opportunity Programs
1

Since 1968, we have been integral to NYU’s commitment to a diverse student body. Our program provides a means for traditionally underserved, low-income students to obtain admission as well as academic and financial support. As an accepted NYU and Arthur O. Eve HEOP student, you will be required to complete a six-week introductory non-credit academic program during the summer prior to your freshman year. Your summer course schedule is determined by your individual academic needs, and will expose you to first-year courses and activities, ensuring a smooth entry into university life. More on our Pre-Freshman Program requirements. As one of our students, you will have access to our support system, which includes:

  • Academic and personal counseling
  • Financial counseling
  • Mentoring
  • Academic workshops and seminars
  • Tutoring

If you are an incoming NYU student in need of accommodation due to chronic, psychological, visual, mobility and/or learning disability, or are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, you should register with the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities at 212 998 4980, 240 Greene Street: www.nyu.edu/csd
